Le Mans Université (Le Mans University)

Le Mans University is a multidisciplinary higher education and research institution established in Le Mans and Laval. Each year, the university hosts nearly 12,500 students, in its three faculties, two IUTs (technology institutes) and one engineering school, across a wide range of subjects: science and technology, humanities, languages, social and human sciences, law, economics and management. Teaching draws on the research work carried out in 15 laboratories, six of which are associated with the CNRS.

Le Mans University has centred its strategy on the creation of field-specific and/or interdisciplinary institutes designed to generate synergy from three key strengths: research, training and innovation (scientific and pedagogical). Le Mans University is proud of its commitment to high quality public and partnership-based research, a key driver of the development of higher education.

The university develops diversified and high-quality research with the support of laboratories open to societal issues. These laboratories enjoy national and international recognition.
