A top-class university serving the interests of the region, the Université de Pau et des pays de l’Adour (UPPA) is one of France’s universities holding the I-SITE label. This label rewards Initiatives for Science, Innovation, Territories and Economy (I-SITE).
Having obtained the Future Investment Label for two projects, UPPA is recognised as a university of excellence thanks to the E2S UPPA project, relating to Energy Environment Solutions, driven by the consortium made up of UPPA, INRA, Inria and CNRS (I-SITE label), and to the SPACE project, relating to the gradual and guided specialisation of student courses (NCU label for French New University Course).
With its strong international dimension and the strength of its 23 research units in association with research organisations such as the CNRS, INRA and Inria, UPPA conducts world-class scientific research in various strategic areas, such as Environment and Materials; Georesources; Aquatic Environments and Resources; Space, Border and Miscegenation; and Justice and Territory. These strategic areas are also in line with emerging themes, including Eco-Construction, Aeronautics, Heritage and Tourism.
